Tucked away on Barrenjoey Road in Palm Beach is this tiny cafe that has been a favorite meeting spot of the locals for over a decade. The Greedy Goat may be a familiar landmark to those who live here but beach visitors to this Sydney suburb may also easily love the food and the community vibe of this restaurant.
The Greedy Goat is a family-owned cafe reputed for its home-cooked meals and great coffee. This establishment’s specialty is simple but tasteful comfort food. The Greedy Goat also offers a good selection of vegetarian and vegan meals, as well as gluten-free options.
Palm Beach locals prefer ordering signature meals like the zucchini fritters with tomato chutney and bacon, smashed avocado on toast, or Greedy Goat Wagyu burger either for breakfast or lunch.
Older folks especially love to hang around this cafe for a cup of Allpress Coffee. Busy people on-the-go take the time to swing by this restaurant for a takeaway of meatball or steak roll.
The Greedy Goat is also a dog-friendly cafe and owners often have their dogs around to greet the customers, too. It’s common to see groups of friends or family gathering at this Palm Beach stomping ground.
The Greedy Goat is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. but expect surcharges on our bill during Sundays and Public Holidays.
“On our walk through Palm
~ Meredith H, via Tripadvisor Beach we came across this little gem. We stopped with our13 year old son. We had coffee and he hadan iced chocolate . So glad we stopped. All of our drinks were perfect. We sat outside on a hot day and it was shady with a welcome cool breeze. The staffwere very friendly and helpful. The people next to us had brunch which looked very good. We will definitely visit here again when we are next in town (hopefully to eat).”
“I just had the smashed avocado for lunch and I can’t shut up about it. Will definitely come back again.”

“Nice place with this nice “like at home” feeling. Food was good and simple. What I did like about this place- you don’t need to wait for any surprises. You will get exactly what menu says and I think sometimes it’s exactly what I need. People who work there made us feel like we were invited to their place for breakfast and a friendly chat about everything and we left in a very good mood and ready for the day full of adventures in Palm Beach.”
